Postmortem


Hello,

This is my evaluation of my game, here I will say what i thought went well and what could be improved on, also any adaptation i did to my game compared to the original we followed.

What went well:

  1. Hit the criteria of what was required.
  2. code was largely readable.
  3. coding standard was followed.
  4. was fast peace.

What didn't go so well and can be improved on:

  1. Use of read in from file.
  2. Using arrow keys for navigation over text took away from the text based adventure.
  3. Basic menu.
  4. lacking innervation from the original task.

My adaptation:

there was not much adaptation from me, I was thinking of doing two maps but fell behind on time so i scrapped the second map, I don't like having to type the direction each time you want to go in a direction, so I decided to use arrow keys to navigate, also using key binds to pick up items and to use items.
